Char Dham Travel Guide

Welcome to Char Dham Yatra

Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages in the Himalayas, covering the four divine abodes: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Nestled in Uttarakhand's Garhwal region, this spiritual journey offers profound devotion, breathtaking Himalayan vistas, and inner peace. From the origins of holy rivers to ancient temples amid snow-capped peaks, every step brings divine blessings and a sense of moksha — a once-in-a-lifetime experience for seekers of faith and serenity.

Yamunotri

The first Dham, Yamunotri is the sacred source of the Yamuna River. Devotees trek to the temple at 3,293m, offering prayers at Divya Shila and Surya Kund. The serene surroundings and holy hot springs create a deeply peaceful atmosphere for reflection and devotion.

Gangotri

Gangotri is the origin of the holy Ganga River. The temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, stands on the banks of the Bhagirathi. Nearby spots like Bhagirath Shila and the submerged Shivling add to the divine aura, making it a place of purification and spiritual renewal.

Kedarnath

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Perched at 3,583m amid snow peaks, the trek to the ancient temple offers breathtaking views and profound spiritual energy. It's a symbol of resilience and divine grace.

Badrinath

The final Dham, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Situated on the Alaknanda River, the temple is surrounded by majestic peaks. Nearby Mana Village (last Indian village) and hot springs add cultural and scenic charm to the pilgrimage.
